Ice Kacang Penang
Why I am being biased towards ICE KACANG PENANG!?!?!? Not because I was born and brought up here but just because I dont know of any other place with super delicious ice kacang like this. Yeah they call it ABC – Ais Batu Campur but I prefer to call it ICE KACANG – Iced Peanuts?!?! It’s made out of crushed ice dumped over a pool of red beans, and lengkong, the white colored fruit apa nama??? and corn, with colored syrup and evaporated milk poured generously over the crushed iced and topped with vanilla ice cream. My Husband calls this “diabetic in a bowl”. I call it pure HEAVEN!!!
I hate that some places serves this with PEANUTS (which I hate having with ice kacang) and also those colorful rounded man made jelly, they have it in green, yellow and bla bla … It just spoiled the taste altogether!!!! …
I have identified 3 areas in Penang that serve awesome ice kacang … just how I like em to be … Penang Road (dont even need any introduction), Swato Lane (dunno if it’s still around after New World park came into the picture) and the newest place would be this small gerai selling nasi goreng next to the BIG KFC (Jalan Larut). What are you waiting for!?!?!? Go grab your Ice Kacang now!!!! :D

Birthday Cake 2012
My sister calls it the DISASTER cake hence the title!!!
My second attempt in Penang in making this cake was slightly better than my first cause of my cream cheese frosting. I am still clueless as to why the cake is not like it use to be when I was making them in KL. Takkan sebab cuaca kot!!?!?
Albeit not fully satisfied I still made my husband eat it last night which he did willingly and without throwing up as well
. So I guess it was not that bad since my husband can be considered FUSSY!!! I even brought it to the office today and my colleagues seem to like it. Just that the cream cheese is very filling they were content till lunch!!!
I present to u my disaster cakes!! Their actually the same cake but I use different icing. The one on your left is the cream cheese frosting and the one on your right is the choch icing. Paling laku is the cream cheese la which I am getting quite fond of now

It’s My Hubby’s Birthday!!!
It’s tat time of year again where I get all discombobulated on what to get my hubby!!! It’s so frustrating ok to buy a present for a man especially mine!!
At the end of the day I’m just worried that he wont like it which will make me feel miserable that I ruined his Bday for him
!!! I know la he wont say it to my face that he hates the pressie but just an inch of dissatisfaction from his face will make my heart go tumbling down to the grown
Aiyooo I cant stop being all emotional la … WHY CANT I BE A MAN!!!???
Anyways I actually baked him a choc cake with cream cheese frosting last night which didn’t turn out that bad. Was quite edible thanks to the cream cheese BUT of course I was quite disappointed with the outcome of the cake. So no more attempting choc cakes d. I’ll stick to cheese cakes and other normal cakes la.
As for his present, nanti kita akan tunggu dan lihat ya …
So here’s wishing my soulmate a Very MeRRY Happy Birthday!!! There can be nobody else for me cause no one else can handle me like you do
Here’s our son wishing his daddy a Happy Birthday!!!
since he can speak any proper language at this point

Weekend!!! I cant wait nemore!!!!
I’m always so restless especially on Fridays. Kenapa!??!? Kerana I have absolutely no class on Fridays and there’s nothing much to do either. Update blog, play games, bug my frens, maybe mark some papers and that’s about it. By the time the clock strikes 4, I would look like a well dressed Zombie!!! I think I have even acquired the knowledge to sleep with my eyes open
Despite the time being 3.50pm now, I dont know if I can survive the next 10 minutes.
While I patiently wait for 4pm, here’s a couple of snapshots of a very very hungry toddler drinking his milk in silence!!! poor thing la … mak dia buat nyiaya .. hehehe … Have a notty weekend peepz

We finally made our first visit to HRH and we were in awe as we step foot at the entrance. Cantik woooooooooo!!!! They even had a HR shop where they sold all HRC merchandize but of course la everything was wayyyyyy over priced.
The interior of the hotel was different from any other hotels I’ve seen. No wonder la my husband was insisting to go visit the hotel so much. I suggest you guys go visit it too and Dont forget to bring ur camera!!! Probably I would be there posing my ass off …
Well here are some pics taken.

My Wittle OzieBOO!!!
Every morning without fail Arees would watch his fav cartoons and one of them is Ozie Boo!!! Their tagline is “Learn To Live Together” which is such a good lesson for children at this time where people just dont care anymore! Oi dont get me started on heartless ppl la … so darn frustrating!!! GRRRR!!! >_<
*Ok ok Happy thoughts happy happy thoughts!!! Thinking of my teletubby … ^_^
Arees enjoys his tv time now unlike before and he even follows their lead, if they sing and dance then he would dance with them and when they wave bye bye … he would say “BAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” and wave back. I would chuckle everytime he does that. Comei!!!!
So here are the Ozie Boo. I only remember the blue penguin is NED and the pink one is NELLY. Ned has a BIG crush on NELLY!!! awwwwwwwwww!!!! ^_^
This one is my very own Ozie BOOO!!!!!!! mmmmmmuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaacccccccckkkkkkkkssssssssssssssssssssss ……………..

Teletubby and ME ;)
Bukan I yang cakap … my husband admitted that he looks like one of those teletubbies character and I have to agree also but I like. *senyum gatal … ngeh ngeh ngeh … ^_^
Finally I have a snapshot of just the 2 of us which I love!!! Since I got pregnant till now, I just hated taking pictures cause I look so distorted in pics and also the fact that I looked like I got knocked over by a bulldozer made me loathe taking piccas even more!!!
After my recent weight loss due to my lack of appetite, I’ve become fond of being in front of the camera yet again. Oh how I yearned to pose like there’s no tomorrow!!! huhuhuhu …
If you even know me at all, one way to get me shrieking with excitement is a CAMERA after food of course. I just need to get a glimpse of one and I’ll start posing everywhere!! Ahh and now I am rearing to pose for every single camera I can lay my eyes on and YOU photographers have nowhere to HIDE!!! .. muahahahahahah!!!
Snapshot taken at Gurney and I have to thank the lighting which did wonders to my appearance.
Take more pictures there … most definitely!! *Yoda mode .. ON*

The Mediator!!!
I dont get why people cannot just call or liase with the person with the required information rather then asking a middle person to intervene. You have the persons phone number and also the persons email, so what da hell is stopping you?!!?!? We’re not married nor are we staying in the same house!?!? So why would you think the middle person would know everything!!!???!!!
And another thing I dont get is if you have a problem with let’s say A, then tell A the problem rather then to tell let’s say W about it. What would u think W would do!??!!? Dont have the balls to talk to A is it?!?!!? Bukan nya susah nak jumpa dgn A pun. They always bump into each other but still got no balls to tell A. *Chicken!!!! pak pak pak!!! … ngeh ngeh ngeh …
On last thing which really pisses me off is “Never Insult MY Friends!!!” You have none so you dont know the value of friendship. Try having at least one fren then you might know la. Boleh tak ada org tu directly cakap kat a colleague of mine (who is a part timer btw) that nobody likes her coming to the staffroom so she should stay away!!!! I think you got it all wrong la … we dont like YOU coming into the staffroom. So YOU stay away!!!
Yes you’ve guessed it!! It’s all the work of the KERBAU!!! Non stop stupidity!! When will it end!?!?!?

DO YOU EAT PETAI?
My dad sent me this email and I tot it’s good to share. I’ve got like a gazillion forwards everyday and some are actually quite informative although I haven’t a clue about the credibility of these contents. Well at least it will keep our mind wondering.
I have no clue what petai is in English but I think they are called peapods or stinky beans but I could be wrong. Anyone would like to differ?!?!
Here’s the email content :
ADVICE FROM UKM MEDICAL DOCTOR
Little did you know …….. after reading THIS, you’ll NEVER look at petai in the same way again!
Petai contains three natural sugars sucrose, fructose and glucose. Combined with fiber, petai gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two servings of petai provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout.. No wonder petai is the number one fruit with the world’s leading athletes. But energy isn’t the only way petai can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.
Depression:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND among people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating petai. This is because petai contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
PMS (premenstrual syndrome):
Forget the pills – eat petai. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.
Anaemia:
High in iron, petai can stimulate the production of haemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anaemia.
Blood Pressure:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the petai industry to make official claims for the fruit’s ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.
Brain Power :
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating petai at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.
Understand that bananas contain lot of potassium too so eat more banana… Just look at those monkeys, they are really active, alert, smart and cunning too!!
Constipation:
High in fiber, including petai in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
Hangovers:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a petai milkshake, sweetened with honey. The petai calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
Heartburn:
Petai has a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating petai for soothing relief.
Morning Sickness :
Snacking on petai between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.
Mosquito bites :
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of the petai skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation..
Nerves:
Petai is high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.
Overweight:
Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.
Ulcers:
Petai is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
Temperature control :
Many other cultures see petai as a “cooling” fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Holland, for example, pregnant women eat petai to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD):
Petai can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer, tryptophan.
Smoking:
Petai can also help people trying to give up smoking.. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.
Stress:
Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body’s water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium petai snack.
Strokes:
According to research in “The New England Journal of Medicine” eating petai as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%”.
Warts:
Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of petai and place it on the wart.. Carefully hold the petai in place with a plaster or surgical tape!
So, as you can see, petai really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals… It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around. So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, “A Petai a day keeps the doctor away”.
- End of email -

Looks like it’s filled with goodness but I’m still not a fan!! heheheh … ^_^

2012
To be prepared for the end of the world, the basic items needed is a blardy big plane, a Bentley and a gigantic submarine ala ship. Well that was what they used for the movie anyways. This movie was filled with mind blowing effects and nail bitting actions that would make you crave for more!!! It was a 2 hours and 40 minutes movie and yet I didnt feel that it was that long a movie. There was no point in the movie that I even wondered why it has not ended yet. I was just glued to every single frame played for the whole duration.
For those who havent a clue, this movie depicts the end of the world predicted by the Mayans which will happen in 2012 la. The US government was alerted about the prophesy with some solid evidence that the apocalypse will soon happen and they were preparing for the worst. And the worst did happen and it was sangat sangat scary ok. This movie definitely defines the word DISASTER!!!
Actually after I became a mother I have started crying at almost every single thing like advertisements, cartoons, and sometimes at my son when I begin reminiscing his babyhood … huhuhu … For this movie I was crying at every scene like a mad woman. I kept wiping my tears away without being detected by my hubby and also my siblings who joined us for the movie. Kena control macho la kan!!!
Overall a non stop action pack movie which is definitely worth every cent. Now I am officially a John Cusack fan.
The verdict : SEPULUH BINTANG!! ^_^

Pujuk Items
My husband knows me so well now it’s sometimes scary ok. Probably earlier in the marriage he had no idea how to pujuk this aching heart of mine but now he is ALMOST a pro. Hahaha … tak nak gi can gak … :-p
I remember a few weeks ago I was sulking and God knows for wat la and was not in talking terms with him. So u know what he did?!?!? I was at my mom’s cause he was working the night shift … he came to me with a plastic bag in his hands and smiled. “Guess what??” he asked but I was ignoring him to the maximum. He then said “Murtabak Sungai Pinang”. I immediately got up from my seat and went to the kitchen to get plates!!! haahah … Doesnt take much effort at all kan!! ^_^

Runaway Wife
One fine day, Keechee (the wife) was discussing with Woozy (the husband) about running away from home. Conversation took place from the house grill to the main entrance of their crib. This was how it went …
Keechee : U remember my fren who is staying in the next block!?!?
Woozy : Yeah!!
Keechee : Well if i decide to runaway then I wanna runaway to her house. I’ve already told her d and she said okey!! *senggih as tho I’ve won the nobel prize
Woozy : OK *smiling
Keechee : If I wan more excitement I would probably runaway with Farizah (my colleague) and rent a place in Kulim then we’ll invite all the other wifes to join us. U can handle Arees right!!?!?
Woozy : Can! Such positive thinking ah u!??! *still smiling
Keechee : ya la … I have to think of my future wat!!! huhuhuhu …

Friday the 13th
Who says it’s jinxed!!!?? I had one of the best Friday the 13th to date okey. One reason was it was the last paper for the semester. And of course I had no idea what I answered cause I didn’t quite care anymore. I was feeling all blur blur and blank and didnt even study that much. So I answered what I could only. Tawakal saje la labu … Right after the exam, 11 of us headed to QB for THE LUNCH of the SEMESTER at TGIF since it was a Friday .. DUH!!!
You put 11 ladies + food and you will definitely get MADNESS!!! … we were talking and laughing n oblivious to the tables next to us. We even had a bet that if anyone who even talks about the exam, they had to drink the whole ketchup bottle but of course it couldn’t be executed cause we were ALL talking about the exam. hua hua … IT was a long time since I laughed that loud also … feels blardy good u know ^_^
Regarding the food, I loved the appetizer and desserts but cant say the same for the main dish la. Stay away from anything close to ADOBO!!! It is only for those who has NO taste buds.
Of course when u have a get together just the ladies, there must be many many photographers and photographs taken during the lunch date. WALLA!!!

ADOBO which needs to gogo ...

Brownie something ... dont remember la

MudPie very nice but I could make do without the coffee taste ... huhuhu

The Lovely Ladies
I’ve always asked myself, WHY did I take masters?!?! WHY?!!?? Last Friday answered it for me. I added more frens to my list of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. I also realised something very very valuable which I couldnt see before cause I was blinded by hatred that is Eventho I have come across 1 or 2 ketams in my life but hey, God has been kind enough to compensate it with loads of good ppl around me which is actually not a bad deal at all. Every cloud definitely has a silver lining. I will start appreciating what I have with me now rather than to hold grudges and contemplate on the same problem over and over until I go insane. The keyword here is to IGNORE regardless of how difficult it may be I will try my level best. Life may have many problems but u shouldnt make the problem part of your life!!! All the stress and heart ache is just so not worth it.
I am glad and thankful to those whom I have crossed paths with and who have made my journey through life so worth while.
I’ve been stressed out with everything that was going on with my life that I forgot to see the glass as half full rather than half empty. Now my motto is if the glass is half empty then ADD MORE WATER LA!!! huhuhu … lawak di hari isnin!!
Entry yang sangat emotional kerana aku seorang WANITA! ^_^
ps : all snapshots were stolen from Shelly’s fb … huhuhu

Arees and Belly Buttons …
YUP!!! It’s for real … my son is totally fixated over this circular thingy on his tummy which was once used to hold his umbilical cord. It all started during his play date with Siti Rokiah . Out of the blue he lifted up Siti’s blouse and was examining her belly button. This my mom told me cause I was not anywhere near the crime scene. Since that day, he started to lift other ppl’s shirt [only the males k] to see if they all have the same circular thingy. He checks out my belly button as well but only when we’re at home. Huhuhu pandai nyerrrr!!! … ALHAMDULILLAH
Googled image – This is NOT my son but this is how he checks out his navel … beeepp!!! ^_^

Signs of AGING!!
I have to admit, I am not as fit as I use to be. Well I wasnt as fit pun dulu but my immune system use to be blardy good okey!!! I seldom got sick hence I had very rare visits to the clinic. Unfortunately after delivering Arees, everything went haywire. My attention span has decreased dramatically macam dulu lama sgt pun, I cant remember the current day nor can I remember what I did the day before. My fever visits me very frequently and bringing along its buddies – headache and sore throat. So when sore throat comes into the picture, mouth ulcer wants to tag along la plak. Like mouth ulcer isnt enough to make my life a living blunder, my wisdom tooth is starting to make its way out of my thick gums. And when u combine all these following symptoms together u get a FREAKING HEADACHE. And tat doesnt stop there!! OH NO BLARDY WAY!!! The headache then goes down to ur neck giving u the most excruciating neck pain ever in the history of man kind where u feel like ur neck cannot support ur head anymore and it;s just gonna snap off any second which then spreads down to ur back. And with that sore back u carry a 11 kg BOY … which spells out D.I.S.A.S.T.R.O.U.S ….
To put the cherry on the topping, I had diarrhoea for 3 days running … and all this happened 3 days before my exam … I was still with the ulcer, headache, neck pain and back ache oh plus the diarrhoea DURING the exam. I am just thankful that I was able to answer all questions and not faint during or after the exam. ALHAMDULILLAH …
Bottom line is u cant run away from growing old but one thing we should bear in mind is that although we are getting older that doesnt mean the world is in your hands. Jangan angkuh, jgn tamak haloba and jgn memfitnah …. huhuhu this is totally out of the topic but who cares … it’s MY BLOG!!!
My Siblings and I … I pray that we all grow old Gracefully and Happily … AMEEN ^_^
